Bridgwater 3-1 Firebrands

Arriving at the pitch considerably earlier than perhaps they should, Bridgwater had plenty of time to warm up and start brightly. However, it was Brands who started the better side, going 1-0 up after only a few minutes. This kicked Bridgwater into action and whilst Brands still threatened, it was the away side who looked the more incisive. With 20 minutes gone, a well worked short corner from Bridgwater was only half stopped, and Will Pope capitalised to put the side back on level terms. From there on in, the game was dictated by Bridgwater - despite going into half time at 1-1 and dealing with some pressure, a goal from Ash Woolmington and Pope’s second endured Bridgwater would take all 3 points home.
