Only Home Game, Couldn't Disappoint

After a frustrating draw last week, Bridgwater went into the game against North Somerset with the aim of getting some points from their final few games of the season (hopefully).
The game started positively for Bridgwater with some quick movement around the pitch, however with the opposition have a mix of youth and experience in their team, there was plenty of end to end play. Unfortunately like previous games the opposition were the first to capitalise on the run of play, getting their first goal via an interesting short corner routine....
This was the first kick that Bridgwater needed, as after this they started to play a passing game a lot cleaner easily getting around the opposition. 3s managed to get their 1st goal and were unfortunate not to take the lead before the end of the half.
The half time talk was a productive one, looking at the positives and areas for improvement, with good input for the team a suggestion in a slight formation change given and taken.
This paid off as 3s started the half strong again with some great team play and deservedly getting the their 2nd goal of the game, and the lead for the first time. The opposition hadn't given up yet though, calling the Bridgwater keeper and defence into further action, annoyingly after several short corners, they finally managed to get one in. With the score now at 2-2, Bridgwater had their second and bigger focus kick of the game. Pressing the opposition harder and higher North Somerset started to show the strain, with the experience and youth of Harvey Larcombe, Sam Stacey and James Garner showing plenty of future potential for the club. Bridgwater took charge of the game getting their 3rd goal through an unbelievable individual effort from Aaron Turner. 3s continued to press and got their 4th goal near the end of the half, giving the final score of 4-2.
Man of the Match this week went to Brandon Durkin.
Special mention this week goes to Sam Stacey, who has shown great perseverance throughout the season, continuing to play regardless, and finally got his first win of the season!
